Continuity is both cultural and environmental, sustained through ongoing care for land and identity alike. This Artist Talk explores Indigenous knowledge as lived practice — active in the present and shaping the future. Here, ancestry is not memory alone, but a force carried through the body and into contemporary space. Accompanying the talk, Vanessa Ramos Velasquez will present the performance ‘In Relation With…’, developed as a site-specific work for the RJM.
With contributions by Olinda Silvano, Vanessa Ramos-Velasquez, and Alfredo Villar, whose practices engage contemporary Amazonian art in critical dialogue with Indigenous perspectives.
Vorfahren in Bewegung: Indigene Identität, die Stadt und das Überleben

Begleitend zum Talk zeigt Vanessa Ramos Velasquez die Performance „In Relation With…“, die speziell für das Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum als ortsspezifische Arbeit entwickelt wurde.
